Women want larger breasts more then being thinner!!

ASAPS ( American Society of Plastic Surgeons) Reports Demand for Breast Implants Greater than Liposuction

For the first time in twelve years, the number of breast augmentation procedures performed over the year has outpaced the number of liposuction procedures.

Breast augmentation continues to be one of the most sought-after procedures for women in the 18 to 35 age bracket, and even with the economic downturn, many cosmetic surgeons have seen a steady increase in demand for breast implants and breast enhancement procedures. The surgery typically costs between $4,500 to $5,000 and is not covered by insurance, but many women turn to patient financing or work with the surgeon to set up a private payment plan. Surgeons report that demand for breast augmentation and procedures such as Botox, another in-demand procedure for the year, are sought from all socioeconomic classes, but the majority are middle class.

The price of many procedures have become more attractive to many because of increased competition – many cosmetic surgeons have introduced a lineup of enhancement procedures such as Botox, Dysport, Hydrelle fillers and non-invasive procedures such as Zerona laser fat removal to attract more patients to their practice. Once the patient becomes more comfortable with the surgeon and the clinic, they may be more likely to consider more expensive procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction or facelifts.

While there are still several risks involved with the breast augmentation procedure, there are now thousands of licensed and skilled surgeons who have extensive experience with saline and silicone implants. Other procedures that are coming into the spotlight include the ‘Botox breast lift’ and the fat transfer breast augmentation procedure which do not require the insertion of implants. With these procedures, the doctor simply injects compounds directly into the skin and results are immediate. These less-invasive procedures may offer more benefits over implants in some patients who want to correct sagging breasts and improve their appearance, but research is still underway.
